Structuring of the 2022 Bylaws

New Mission Statement, New Goals, and New Bylaws aimed at meeting those Goals.

Bylaws

1.) Enjoy.

Mission Statement:
Fire Students is comprised of like-minded individuals that have a desire to lessen the pain… of people, including ourselves, from the loss of life and property. Working on the principle “Many Hands Make for Light Work”. We joyfully work together on a global scale to identify ways that we can help our industry be more effective and property owners be more proactive towards their safety. We are not out to re-invent the wheel, just to aid in it turning more effectively.

Division of Operations

2.) Three Branches of Fire Students

A.) Commerce Branch – Sales of Fire Students® Branded Books, Software,… Shall transfer no less than 50% of yearly profits to the treasuries of the other two branches of Fire Students.
B. ) Research and Development.
i.)   Fire Science
ii.)  Fire Suppression
iii.) Implementation Research
C.) Trainings
i.)   Field Trainings
ii.) Online Trainings

Officers

3.) Elections and Appointments – R&D & Training Branches

A.) Flexible and Dynamic – Officer Positions shall be created and eliminated fluidly to allow for expansion, consolidation, and workload distribution.
i.) R&D & Training Branches operate in the form of a Direct Democracy with all members of Fire Students including officers having 1 equal vote.
B. ) Every two years all members shall vote on the following:
i.)   The head of the R&D & Training Branches
ii.)  1/2 of the Board Members
iii.) Creation of Primary Projects
iv.) Continuation of Primary Projects
C.) Every four years all members shall vote on the following:
i.)   Number of board members for the R&D & Training Branches
ii.)  Refinement of the Fire Students Mission Statement
D.) In Real-Time all members of a specific Panel or Project
i.)   Project Managers, Team Leaders, & All Other Positions

Reporting

4.) Annual Reporting

A.) Calendar Year – Fire Students fiscal & productive year shall run from Jan. 1st to Dec. 31st.  
B. ) Annual Reports shall be released on October 15th:
i.)   As much information as possible shall be made available in real-time,
ii.)  The 10 month, 15 day lapse between the end of a fiscal year and the annual report shall be utilized to conduct audits, contemplate effectiveness and operational adjustments.
